After what was most definitely disappointing news released a few weeks ago, detailing the unfortunate postponement of the beginning of our home season, the Newcastle promotion can now release the news we have all been waiting for!

Today Newcastle got the official thumbs up from both Newcastle City Council and the landlords of Newcastle Stadium, the Arena Racing Company, to say they are happy with all of the promotions hard work behind the scenes in order to make Brough a covid-secure venue and they have given the go ahead on what is actually slightly increased capacity numbers than originally planned, for the home season to get underway on Sunday 6th June!!

This is of course without doubt absolutley fantastic news to know that all of the hard work Rob and his team have put in over the past few months, will eventually all be worth it and the tapes will rise once again at Newcastle.

Tickets for the 2nd leg KO Cup opener against Edinburgh will be available for general release through on Tuesday 4th May via a dedicated link. Season ticket holders will be contacted via email over the course of the next few days to be given their allocations for tickets.

We would like to take this opportunity to inform fans that, at least for the first couple of home meetings, there will be strict Covid-19 regulations in place as set by Newcastle City Council and ARC. These must be adhered to by all individuals for their entire duration of stay in the stadium. All details of these regulations will be listed when purchasing tickets online.

Finally, Rob & Co. also received confirmation today that Newcastle’s P&P day will be able to take place on Sunday 30th May. This, however, will unfortunately have to be ran strictly behind closed doors with only one rider/one mechanic allowed entry, and no guests or spectators permitted.

Whilst we appreciate that this may not be the ideal scenario for a lot of our fans, we also have to be aware that without following these regulations then we would just simply not be able to run at all. So we believe, it is a small sacrifice to pay in the short-term to ensure racing at Newcastle is part of the long-term future, and we hope to be somewhere closer to normality as we all know it by the end of June.

Finally, all of the promotion at Newcastle would like to sincerely thank everyone at Newcastle City Council and ARC for their co-operation and continued support in order to give Newcastle the green light to run.

We look forward to seeing you all trackside on 6th June!!!
